You offer a lot. Residents need a clear way to find it.

Programs change, registration opens, facilities have different schedules and families have questions. Keeping all of that clear and connected takes work.

  • Program discovery

“Where do I find the right activity?”

Residents need an easy way to explore programs and understand their options before reaching registration.

  • Disconnected experiences

“Am I still on the district’s website?”

Moving between your website and recreation software can make a straightforward task feel unfamiliar.

  • Repeated questions

“Who can help me with this?”

When answers are hard to find, routine questions become more calls, emails and follow-up for staff.

  • Keeping information current

    “Which page needs updating?”

Seasonal changes, facility information and program announcements can leave teams managing updates across several places.

Your digital tools should make these everyday moments easier—for residents and for your team.

You may be planning a full website redesign or looking to improve one part of the resident experience. We start by understanding your priorities and the systems your team already uses.

  1. Understand your needs

Discuss resident tasks, staff challenges, existing software and what you want to improve.

  2. Define the right scope

Agree on the website work, integrations or products that fit your district, along with responsibilities and rollout priorities.

  3. Prepare your team

For website projects, we help move existing content through a structured migration process. Your team supplies and approves content, and receives editing training and page-specific guidance.

  4. Plan ongoing support

Choose support appropriate to the services selected. Optional website maintenance covers site and server care, support requests and biweekly reporting on security, health, performance and accessibility.

Questions your team may be asking.

  • Can you work with our existing recreation software?

We have experience integrating RecTrac and Amilia, including program synchronization and program search. For other platforms, we review the available integration options and confirm what can be delivered before defining the scope.

  • Do we need to replace our website to work with SmartRoots?

Not necessarily. Some needs may be addressed by adding a product or integration to your current website. We review your existing setup and recommend an approach based on what you want to improve.

  • How is a custom website different from the RecLite website package?

Our custom website service creates a design around your district’s identity and requirements. The RecLite package includes a mobile-first, editable WordPress website selected from predefined designs and connected to RecLite’s recreation functions.

  • Will our staff be able to update the website?

Yes. For websites we deliver, staff receive WordPress editing access, detailed training and a help site with page-specific guidance.

  • Do you help move content from our current website?

Yes. We help migrate existing website content through a structured process. Your district remains responsible for supplying, reviewing and approving the content. Copywriting is not included.

  • How do you approach accessibility?

Accessibility is considered during website design, development and testing. We agree on the scope of the work, including how documents and third-party systems will be handled. SmartComply is a separate offering that provides HTML readers for PDF content; it does not modify the original PDFs.

  • Can you support us after launch?

Yes. Website maintenance is available as an additional service, including site and server care, support requests and biweekly reporting. We confirm the ongoing support arrangements for each product or service in the agreed scope.
